Head: Zlatko Trajanoski

The research activities at the Institute of Bioinformatics, Biocenter, Innsbruck Medical University are directed towards two major thrusts:

  • the development of bioinformatics methods and software tools for large-scale biomolecular data. Using state-of-the-art computer science methods and software engineering, bioinformatics services for genomic, transcriptomics, and proteomic data are developed, deployed, and maintained.
  • data integration and modeling biomolecular networks. Specifically, the research includes the development of methods for the integrative analyses of heterogenous datasets, and modeling biomolecular networks in cell differentiation and cancer.
